BIOGRAPHICAL DATA: Originally started in 1998 as Born to Resist, this Connecticut band changed their name to In Pieces the following year. In February of 2000, a new vocalist and guitarist were brought in. At that point, the band begin adding more melody to their brand of hardcore. During the Spring of 2000, Sike Records released the 7" 'Brick Wall Stare,' which was distribution by Revelation Records. Following the release of a self-titled demo and a split CD with Craig entitled 'How to Make a Human Heart,' the band signed with Escape Artist Records in the Summer of 2001 and released their EA debut in April of 2002.

Following roughly two years of relative inactivity, In Pieces are currently at New Alliance Studios in Boston with producer Andrew Schneider. The group is busy recording their new album, "Lions Write History." The effort should be completed in early September, and the record should hit stores this winter via Escape Artist Records. According to the band, "There is two years of bad breaks, hard work, frustration and love being put into this material, and we can't wait for you to hear it. It really means the world to us."
