With songs about sticking to friends and family, bettering yourself, and reflection on past experiences, much of the subject matter is positive and hopeful, unlike many metal-core acts. On the music side of things, the guitar work doesn't seem extraordinary, but the drum work is impressive (especially the double bass) and the vocals show a solid range for a harder-edged group. It seems the songs could do more to grab the listener, but what's included is by no means poor.
